根据《高等教育法》《民办教育促进法》《民办教育促进法实施条例》《普通本科学校设置暂行规定》和《独立学院设置与管理办法》（教育部令第26号）的有关规定以及全国高等学校设置评议委员会五届五次会议的评议结果，经研究，同意中国海洋大学青岛学院转设为青岛工学院，学校代码为13995；同时撤销中国海洋大学青岛学院的建制。青岛工学院为独立设置的民办普通本科学校。[1]
