2009年，陝西省咸陽市有一小學，其暑假作業有一道數學題，題意大致為：「目前中國60歲以上人口占10%，你認為有什麼好方法解決人口老齡化問題？」據瞭解，該題來源於北師大版的「小學數學暑假作業五年級」，係由陝西省教科所《假期作業》編寫組編寫，陝西人民教育出版社出版[4][5]。
爭議回答[编辑]
丹丹對此人口老齡化問題，答以：「讓部分60歲以上老人死亡，或者讓人們多生孩子！」並補充：「就來一場瘟疫吧，老年人的抵抗力差，會自然地降低老齡人口。」[4]

親人[编辑]
丹丹的親人賈爺爺，對孫子的答案感到荒唐而無奈。賈爺爺從事教育工作、曾任職中學數學教師，對此問題提出純數學的見解與分析：「要讓分數變小，有兩個辦法：縮小分子或增大分母。縮小分子意味著60歲以上老人人口數量減少，增大分母意味著總人口數增加。」因此，從純數學的觀點，丹丹回答並不算錯誤。雖然賈爺爺亦認為這個答案並不合適，但也提不出其他答案。[4]

西安市社會科學研究院社會學研究所所長王國琪對此表示，老齡化已成為很嚴重的社會問題；而小學生不合理的答案，說明了該數學題出得不科學，沒有明確目的。王國琪認為應該將人口問題列入國情教育，予以正確地引導。[4]

其他的觀點認為，丹丹的答案並沒有錯，錯得是出題者和批錯者。我們得釐清隱藏於問題背後，那需要被重視的教育問題，為後代樹立正確的價值判斷和道德意識。[3]
