余樂明1999年畢業於香港城市大學應用社會科學系，專修東亞研究。2007年同樣畢業於香港城市大學語文學文學文學碩士（翻譯及傳譯）。
余樂明於2011年加入亞洲電視，擔任財經新聞主播及總編輯，同期亦主持並擔任理財節目《金錢世界》的監製。
余樂明於2015年創立了卓天媒體有限公司，其後於2016年離開亞洲電視，轉而加入ViuTV，擔任財經節目《智富通》主持及監製至今。[來源請求]
