在經營YouTube頻道前，曾擔任遊戲基地Gamebase採訪編輯、尖端出版集團產品營運主任、茂為數位科技前端工程師。因為喜歡分享，冏冏子自2005年開始經營部落格，分享她每天看到的新奇內容，後來陸續也開始發表了影評等等。
2013年冏冏子決定用影音分享她的評論，也才開始經營了YouTube頻道，直到2016年，冏冏子才真正把工作辭掉，成為了全職的YouTuber。[2]2017年2月。開始在募資平台Pressplay推行「囧說書」第一季計劃，獲得廣大迴響。此計劃一路持續到2018年第三季時因故中止。2017年9月，與網紅摸哥公開宣佈結婚（實為同性伴侶關係註記）。
2019年1月18日，冏冏子於YouTube上貼文表示：「要專心工作養活自己不當YouTuber了，以後偶爾更新頻道。謝謝長久以來的支持。」；2021年，因故陸續將「冏星人第二頻道」、「冏冏電台」等頻道關閉，最早的作品重新上傳在「二次元囧星人」頻道，並將經營重心放在「摸摸冏冏」以及「資本主義戰士」兩個Youtube頻道上；2022年，放棄更新「資本主義戰士」頻道，開始和網紅Neko嗚喵合作Podcast節目「文字寓」。
2022年5月，因合作上的歧見無法消弭，停止與網紅Neko嗚喵合作Podcast節目「文字寓」，目前主要的活動為在Instagram上更新近況，以及不定時在Youtube頻道上「文字與資本主義 Yue Yu（原名：文字寓）」直播；9月中旬，於Instagram限時動態上宣佈已和摸哥分手。2022年9月底，將「摸摸冏冏」頻道關閉。
頻道名稱[编辑]
冏冏子的舊YouTube頻道名稱為「冏星人」，原因是創建頻道時，系統認定「囧」為非法字元，因此才使用「冏」代替。2018年7月後，她將正式名稱從「囧星人」統一改為「冏星人」，理由是印刷和字幕不容易缺字。
2019年11月，頻道名稱更名為「冏冏子」。
2021年，再度將頻道名稱改為「冏冏電台」，最後於年底將頻道隱藏不再公開。
