國家中山科學研究院九鵬院區

九鵬院區主要位於屏東縣滿州鄉及牡丹鄉交界，佔地約脚本错误：没有“Number table sorting”这个模块。公頃，東臨太平洋，1975年，院區正式開始啟用。
1990年，院區擴建之後，更開始兼具研發功能，迄今，九鵬院區是中華民國唯一可以發射飛彈、火箭和人造衛星的軍事基地，所以一直被外界認為是中華民國武器裝備最精良的軍事基地，也是三軍聯合演訓的基地，更是亞洲最大的武器試驗場與演習場，每年各任總統都會親臨院區視察概況與勉勵工作人員[3][4][5]。
2022年6月24日，中科院院長張忠誠率相關一級主管前往九鵬院區主持「拌鑄藥產線啟用典禮」，該產線歷經3年時間，投入5.4億元經費，籌建鑄藥廠房工程、300加侖拌藥機、50加侖拌藥機及大型鑄藥槽等設備，廠房終於順利落成，並正式啟用，為中科院執行海空戰力提升計畫之量產及研發任務，增添生力軍，世界各國都將大型拌藥機視為戰略物資，管制禁止輸出。[6]
