研揚大樓取得耐震、綠建築及智慧型建築等多項標章，並且是臺灣的大學當中第一個取得耐震標章的學校建築物。
國立臺灣科技大學於2009年6月20日獲得校友研揚科技董事長莊永順捐贈新臺幣兩億元新建教學研究大樓，臺科大為感謝莊永順捐資興學，將本新建大樓命名為研揚大樓。
建築技術[编辑]
研揚大樓為地上11層、地下2層之鋼骨構造建築，由潤弘精密建造，採預鑄式建築。建築規劃上，使用臺科大教授陳生金的「鋼骨樑柱接頭」，與陳正誠教授「韌性拉壓構材」等專利技術。其中，陳生金發明的「高韌性鋼骨樑柱接頭技術」，不同於傳統技術，具有耐震韌性較優、施工容易、減少焊接量、節省成本等優點，世界第11高的摩天大樓台北101也採用此工法[1]。
