1984年3月27日 - 1981年4月27日 - 常磐自動車道谷田部IC至柏IC開通，此SA也同時啟用。
2011年3月11日 - 發生2011年日本東北地方太平洋近海地震，常磐自動車道全線封閉。
2011年3月16日 - 水戶IC至三鄉IC/JCT路段重開。
