學校位於芳苑鄉永興村，1950年8月，芳苑國民學校成立永興分班，1954年永興分班更名為芳苑國民學校永興分校。1957年8月1日獨立設校，定名為彰化縣育華國民學校，首任校長瞿曜汾同時到任。1968年8月1日學制變更，改稱為彰化縣育華國民小學。[1]。

育華國小健康教育之健促課程，獲得衛福部2018年健康促進學校國際認證推動嘉獎。[2]
