家族企業之子鐘凱強來到香港幫叔叔打理商業事務，然後這位大少爺並不喜歡做生意，為了一個酒家女-何雨晴而和叔叔的生意夥伴起衝突。從英國返回香港即將完成學業，但是家人卻遭到槍擊的韋康，同樣遇見了她；眾人情義之間的激烈糾纏也由此開始。

由於中國大陸同時期電視作品匱乏，作為為數不多的引進電視劇，《情義無價》在中國大陸取得了轟動效應，劇中的四位主角寇世勳、張晨光、邱于庭、戚美珍等都借由此劇為大陸觀眾所熟知。另外，由鈕大可作曲、何啟弘作詞、林靈演唱的片頭同名主題歌也曾風靡一時[2]。
