- 2011年3月11日 - 因發生東日本大震災，東名高速道路富士IC至靜岡IC之間不能通行，新富士IC至藤枝岡部IC之間臨時開放供緊急車輛使用，開放時間由當日20:30至翌日17:45。
- 2011年8月26日 - 此交流道正式命名為新清水IC（擬定名稱：清水IC）。
- 2012年4月14日 - 新東名高速道路濱松引佐JCT至御殿場JCT開通，此交流道也同時啟用。
