方智龍曾以熱血公民成員名義參加2015年香港區議會選舉[3]，在九龍深水埗區元州及蘇屋選區出戰 [4]，對手是尋求連任民建聯的陳偉明，選舉結果方智龍以2331票之差敗給陳偉明。
2019年香港區議會選舉[编辑]
方智龍參選2019年11月24日舉行的區議會選舉[5]，爭取下白田選區議席，對手分別有表示獨立人士的陳澤誠、與民建聯及工聯會有聯繫的林偉文，以及尋求連任報稱今屆沒有政治聯繫的甄啟榮[6]，結果以2,770票之差敗給甄啟榮。[7]
