1993年畢業於一橋大学社会学部，1999年修畢慶應義塾大學大学院法学研究科後期博士課程、滿期退学，取得大學博士學位。曾任外務省日本駐華大使館專門調査員、北九州市立大学助教授、静岡縣立大学准教授。2012年起擔任現職，2017年4月起兼任南山大學副校長[1]。
