跨年夜，準備自殺的吳潔被一具擱淺在河邊的浮腫女屍打斷。死者是外籍移工，被挖去心臟、截去手指，明顯兇殺而非意外，只是屍體上查無多餘線索，就在這時警方接獲一通讓案情變得更加複雜的報案電話。吳潔推斷，兇手與棄屍之人並不是同一人。 非法移工仲介林佑生正陷在一個麻煩裡，工廠裡發現一具女屍，為了不驚動警察，他只好私下把屍體載至山中掩埋。同時他的女友瓦莉不告而別音訊全無。吳潔循線找上了林佑生，要他協助指認屍體，而那正是他的女友瓦莉，林佑生被視為連續殺人案的頭號嫌疑犯……。
