森美聲是hololive English一期生（holoMyth）成員，於2020年9月12日出道。森美聲的形象設計者為ゆきさめ[2]。姓氏Mori來自拉丁諺語「Memento mori」（人終有一死），名字來自希臘神話中掌管英雄史詩的繆斯卡利俄佩（「美聲」則為Calliope的意譯）。
在出道時發布紀念專輯《Dead Beats》，其中一首原創歌曲〈不好意思，請你去死吧〉（失礼しますが、RIP♡[[Category:含有Template:ISO 639 name ja的條目]]／Excuse My Rudeness, But Could You Please RIP）MV上傳到Youtube後僅5天觀看次數便破100萬次[3]。專輯在10月20日正式發布後，在多個國家的iTunes排行榜登上前三名。
