澎湖縣立湖西國民中學簡稱為湖西國中
為一所位於澎湖縣湖西鄉的公立國中，鄰近中華電信湖西服務站與中國石油湖西加油站，以地名作為學校名稱。
校史[编辑]
日治時期湖西鄉並無正式之中學，僅於1940年與1943年先後在湖西與沙港兩所國民學校增設相當於初中二年級程度的二年制高等科，並於西元1946年（民國35年）廢除。
西元1963年（民國52年）湖西鄉本地人士購地五千餘坪，向政府爭取籌備設立學校。
西元1966年（民國55年）政府蒙准設立馬公初中湖西分部(現湖西國中地址)
由於西元1968年8月（民國57年）實施九年國民義務教育，湖西分部正式獨立設校，並命名為澎湖縣立湖西國民中學。
