獨山國王，為三山國王中的三王，受宋太宗封為「惠威宏應豐國王」，是發源於中國廣東粤东地区之山神信仰。[1]
座次[编辑]
獨山國王雖三王，但部分信眾相信因當初欽差大臣帶著受封詔書及尚方寶劍先後跑遍巾山、明山、獨山，卻找不到任何一座山神祠，便將詔書及寶劍留在獨山並自刎而死；所以三位山神中獨山國王法力最為強大，故可坐大位，如霖田祖廟及臺南三山國王廟之獨山國王便是居正位。[2][3][4]而亦有因三王有最早受封而坐正位之說。[5]
而各廟常有各自的做法與傳統，並不一定是照著霖田祖廟的座次順序；亦有許多三山國王廟宇的座次是前往祖廟進香後仿照更改。[6]
