聖母痛苦方濟傳教女修會於1971年在香港新界沙田文禮路創立了該校,與同是該會創立的聖母無玷聖心學校和聖歐爾發堂相鄰,亦連接該會的修院部分。後來於2012年,聖母無玷聖心學校將校舍遷往大圍火車站上蓋的名城,於是幼稚園部分將小學舊校舍改為校園用地。
