校史[编辑]
- 1953年（民國42年）：創辦人夏耀珊博士結束診所業務，和夫人馮良杜女士合力創辦「開平補習學校」，設於台北市中山北路二段馬偕醫院對面。後來因為學生人數增多，因此在復興南路現址新購校地，設立初中日間部。
- 1956年（民國45年）：學校增設高中日間部，並更名為「私立開平中學」，成為六年一貫的中等教育學校。
- 1990年（民國79年）：前任校長夏惠汶先生接掌學校經營。
- 1991年（民國80年）：在亞都麗緻飯店總裁嚴長壽的協助規劃下增設餐飲科，隨後開始逐年減併其他類科。
- 2007年（民國96年）：開平更名為「開平餐飲學校」，成為全國第一所餐飲專業學校。[1]

國際合作[编辑]
- 2011年，新加坡第一家上市餐飲集團同樂餐廳開始聘用開平畢業生，初期的兩位學生表現讓公司很滿意，促使之後同樂餐飲每一年都到學校徵才。從前場服務人才，到中餐主廚、西餐主廚，觸角愈伸愈廣。
- 2013年4月，新加坡有六家連鎖餐飲集體到台北市私立開平餐飲學校挖角。
- 2013年9月，新加坡主權基金淡馬錫看準開平學生在餐飲的創新實力，決定用天使投資人方法，預計拿出二千萬美元規模（約新台幣六億元），請開平餐飲創辦人夏惠汶找出十位開平校友，由淡馬錫提供創業資金[3]。「這個計畫九月才開始，預計要二到三年才有成果。」夏惠汶低調回應。他表示，這個訊息公布給校友沒多久，目前還沒有真正接到校友的申請案件。夏惠汶感受到這個機會背後的責任與壓力，「創業是辛苦的，不是有錢就好，還得看他有沒有實踐能力。」[4]

- 張永慶：澳洲85度C四家連鎖店主廚。
- 劉一帆：費爾蒙國際酒店集團品牌形象大使兼和平飯店行政總廚。[5]
- 林芝帆：台北市技能競賽餐服組金牌，澳洲藍帶廚藝學校學士。目前於美國迪士尼郵輪擔任廚師一職[6]，並於2006年獲得時任台北市長馬英九接見嘉勉[7]。
- 鄭易嘉：人稱「聽不見的蛋糕王子」[8]。曾獲得第4屆總統教育獎、第6屆國際展能節蛋糕裝飾類銀牌。
- 楊祐寧：藝人、演員。[9]
