2019年5月哥哥李燦赫結束服役，2019年9月5日，YG娛樂宣布AKMU自2017年7月的《Summer Episode》以來，時隔兩年零兩個月回歸。9月9日，宣布AKMU第三張正規專輯《航海》將於25日發行，並公開了預告影片[2]。
9月25日，發表第三張正規專輯《航海》。同日下午10時，主打歌《如何連離別都愛著，而我是愛你的》在Melon、Genie、Bugs、 Mnet、Naver Music、Soribada、Flo成功取得七大音樂網站排行榜的一位，用時4小時達成實時All-Kill。而長期的位列第一使主打歌陸續在iChart榜單上達成Certificate All-Kill"及於10月7日下午6時達成Perfect All-Kill[3][4]。
此次新專輯《航海》的專輯名包含多層涵義，其中最能體現製作人李燦赫想法的關鍵詞是"離開"。如果以往專輯中的AKMU是孩子或青少年的形象和思維，《航海》專輯將體現出AKMU作為剛成年的年輕人正式邁向成熟的面貌[5]。整張專輯通過“離開”這一個關鍵詞體現了“離別”的主題，同時利用了Band Sound，以更加灑脫平淡的方式演繹了沉重的離別之情。李燦赫也擔任了新專輯的全曲作詞和作曲，展現其作為音樂人的力量。而李秀賢也參與了第9首歌曲《Farewell》的編曲，展現了其音樂方面的成長[6]。
