袁沅玉先後就讀樂善堂楊仲明學校（2007年）、中華基督教會基智中學（2007年至2008年）以及仁濟醫院羅陳楚思中學（2008年至2013年），大學就讀香港浸會大學廣播新聞系。2017年夏季於香港有線電視新聞部任職實習記者以及港聞組記者，2018年8月正式加入無綫電視新聞部。另外，袁沅玉透過Rockschool Hong Kong 獲得流行鼓八級資格。
傳聞[编辑]
網上流傳袁沅玉是無綫新聞部助理總經理袁志偉的親戚，不過並未能夠證實到其真確性[1]。
