- 1969年3月17日 - 中央自動車道相模湖IC至河口湖IC開通，此上行線休息區同時啟用。
- 1970年8月5日 - 下行線休息區啟用，同時下行線商店開業。
- 1984年11月30日 - 因應都留IC至河口湖路段擴展至四條行車線，上行線休息區遷移至現時的位置，上行線休息區商店開業。
