1963年，輔仁大學在台復校，法學院成立，周弘道神父擔任院長。
1969年，中華民國教育部核准法學院擴大計劃，將法學院分為法、商兩學院，沈載祺先生任法學院院長，蕭志潔神父任商學院院長。經濟、企業管理及會統三學系隸屬商學院。
1972年，經濟學系重歸法學院。
1992年，經濟學研究所碩士班成立。
2003年，法學院分為法律學院及社會科學院，經濟學系歸屬社會科學院。
