邵容出生于上海，5岁开始学钢琴，10岁开始学琵琶。她高中2年级时，參加新建的北京中央音乐学院附属高中转学考试，在20000名考生中入选為5人之1。
大学毕业后，她作为独奏者加入上海民族乐团。在上海艺术节上获优秀艺术奖。及後成为日本东京艺术大学的留学生。毕业后，她作为独奏者出演日本爱乐乐团上演的由谭盾谱写的《马可·波罗》，然后被邀於泛太平洋音乐节由谭盾作曲的《琵琶与弦乐的协奏曲》。曾在亚洲、美国和欧洲的音乐会上表演。
