1973年11月26日 - 東北自動車道白河IC至郡山IC開通，此停车区同時啟用。
2007年9月14日 - 試驗智能IC。試驗期間的服務時間為24小時。試驗期間至2009年3月31日。
2009年4月1日 - 智能IC正式啟用，服務時間縮短至6:00-22:00。
