10月27日上午9时，中国经济与企业发展高峰论坛在三迪希尔顿大酒店举行。该论坛由闽江学院新华都商学院主办，为校庆期间首个重要活动[4][5]。10时，新华都商学院举行校史图片展开幕暨特色档案馆揭牌仪式[4]。下午，融侨文体中心举行“应用型大学创新与发展——纪念改革开放40周年”校长论坛[6]。当晚，闽江学院建校60周年文艺晚会在多功能体育馆上演[7]。
10月28日上午，闽江学院建校60周年庆祝大会在多功能体育馆举行，时任中共福建省委书记于伟国、闽江学院校长王宗华、福建省委副书记兼福州市委书记王宁、福州大学党委书记陈永正、校友代表翁齐浩先后致辞[8]。会上还举行了闽江学院凤凰数字媒体学院、致道国际漆艺产业学院、百度大数据创新学院、国家水运安全工程技术研究中心福建分中心揭牌仪式，以及校友代表捐资仪式和捐赠字画仪式[9]。下午，数字媒体人才培养标准发布暨数字媒体产教融合发展论坛在行政楼学术报告厅举行[10]。此外，国际漆艺人才培养研讨会亦在当天举行[11]。
