校史[编辑]
原本要計畫改為規劃「中途學校」，再簽奉蘇治芬核定，由雲林縣政府學管課函送「中途學校設校計畫書」報教育部核備，但教育部未予核備。2000年時任縣長張榮味有感於教育攸關國家未來競爭力之提升，特指示本校朝開放教育方向，規劃籌設為「多元性、前瞻性、 國際性」的國民中學，迺於2000年11月1日成立「雲林縣立虎尾第三國民中學籌備處」，並指派林培竹先生擔任籌備處主任，開始進行校舍新建工程，2002年5月27日雲林縣政府核定本校校名為「雲林縣立東仁國民中學」，2005年8月1日林培竹先生專任宜梧國中校長，教育局借調雲林縣 2005年國中儲備校長林正雄續任籌備處主任，於2006年5月奉核正式招收新生。[1]
