黃崇源生長於台北市萬華區，中小學分別就讀當地的臺北市立老松國民小學和臺北市立龍山國民中學。1985年考取中國工商專校電子資料處理科，花七年時間半工半讀取得學士學位。五專畢業，於陸軍澎湖防衛指揮部本部連服完二年義務役後，1994年起在新加坡外商宇博電腦股份有限公司擔任軟體工程師，四年後，以在職生身份考取國立交通大學資料科學研究所，並分別於2000年、2005年獲得碩士與博士學位 。攻讀博士學位期間，黃崇源也在中國科技大學湖口校區資訊工程學系擔任專任講師。博士學位修業期間，學業成績優秀，畢業時榮獲中華民國斐陶斐勵學會2006年度榮譽會員。獲得博士後曾在元培科技大學資訊工程學系擔任專任助理教授一年，並兼任系主任及生醫科技學群副執行長。2006年起，在長庚大學資訊工程學系擔任專任助理教授，並兼任長庚大學資訊中心教學服務組組長，2010年升等副教授，2015年升等教授，2019年起同時也是長庚醫療財團法人林口長庚紀念醫院神經內科部腦血管科聯合聘任的研究員[5][6]。
研究領域[编辑]
黃崇源的主要研究領域包含了複雜網絡、社會現象、傳染病傳播動態三方面的電腦建模與模擬。從2004年在JASSS[7]學術期刊發表第一篇探討2003年SARS傳染阻絕政策成效評估的研究論文Simulating SARS: Small-World Epidemiological Modeling and Public Health Policy Assessments[8]之後，過去15年針對三個研究領域共發表了115篇研究論文，其中包含被SCI/SSCI收錄的41篇學術期刊論文、48篇國際研討會論文、6篇專書專章論文、16篇國內研討會論文。根據Google Scholar的記載，截至2019年5月1日，論文被引用數總計551次，h-index為13，被引用數超過10次以上的研究論文有20篇[4]。
