生平[编辑]
龙绳文在1949年留学期间，中華民國喪失對中國大陸的控制權。留美的龙绳文惧怕回到中華人民共和國后會面对阶级斗争，于是求助多人，其中就包括美国国会参议员赫伯特·H·莱曼、美国移民归化署长Mr. Joseph Swing、美国专拦作家约瑟夫·艾尔索普以及陈纳德。他们将龙绳文的求助申请以及各自的意见一起呈报德懷特·艾森豪總統审批。龙绳文最后于1957年7月26日获准总统特批（有白宫发出的特批文件），不久龙绳文即归化为美国公民。1991年3月28日因腦溢血去世。[1]
