- 中國人民解放軍飛機繞台島巡航。在當日「台灣關係法＆ AIT@40：40年友誼慶祝酒會」上，中華民國總統蔡英文表示，在充滿變化的世界裡，少數不變的是台美共同對印太地區和平、安全、穩定的承諾。中華人民共和國方面及解放軍軍機繞台是挑戰台海與區域穩定。AIT主席莫健回應，解放軍行動對台灣有威脅及脅迫，也影響到台海穩定情勢，但不確定這樣的行動是否跟當天AIT活動有關。軍機繞台無法贏得台灣人民的民心。[2]。
