Anito是台湾的妖怪，是達悟族（雅美族）的传说，雅美族死靈稱為Anito，是中性詞，平時喊出Anito，邪惡的Anito就因此追蹤而來，出現的形象多以人形為主，長長的頭髮，尖尖的利牙，凹陷的眼睛兩個又深又大的窟窿。[1]。常以taotao 的人形紋陶偶表現，菲律賓的南島語系亦有此類傳說。台灣原住民雅美族的anito，大武壠族和西拉雅族的 alid，賽德克族和泰雅族的 utux，布農族的 hanitu或hanidu，和鄒族的 hicu皆為類似神靈。[2][3][4]Anito可分為兩大類：祖靈，神靈和自然靈。
