该网站创立于2019年，目前处于开放注册阶段。 根据官网信息，网站创始团队目前位于新加坡，但详细创始人和创始团队的信息尚未公布。 目前Awakart只有网站，没有相应的App。
网站内容[编辑]
根据Awakart的页面信息和网站描述，Awakart是艺术亚文化者的天堂，这也从侧面说明了，这并非是一个适合所有人的社交网站。就目前对Awakart网站的观察来看，内容类型多为ACG、插画、摄影作品、视频等。 和tumblr有点相似的是，Awakart允许色情内容的存在，但其内容政策里提及，要求用户所发内容，具有一定的艺术价值。也就是说，纯粹的类似pornhub的成人内容，属于直接带来感官刺激的而不存在艺术价值的，有可能会被官方删除。 和其他社交论坛类似，用户可以关注（follow）其他的会员并在自己的页面上看到关注会员发表的文章，但就目前而言，awakart不允许转帖（类似推特和新浪微博的“转发”功能），原因尚未得知，有可能是产品形态决定的，因为对于社交平台，流量过大而管理不到位，往往会导致过低的信噪比，从而让人感觉信息质量下降。
