河南是高考的一个生源大省，高考竞争激烈，学生和老师的压力都很大。而在2008年的卢氏县，除了上学，当地的年轻人几乎没有别的出路，这导致老师和学生的压力都大到了非常惊人的地步。[2]

2008年8月17日晚，龚义强因违反课堂纪律，被班主任马磊叫到办公室批评教育。龚义强不服顶撞，马磊欲打手机告知其家长，遭龚义强阻拦，致手机落地。马磊打了龚义强一巴掌，致其鼻子出血。
8月18日早，龚义强向母亲发短信，打电话告知此事，遭到母亲斥责，即花两元钱购买一把水果刀。11时许，龚义强在学校门口再次被母亲训斥后，拿水果刀快速窜入马磊办公室，持刀朝马磊背部猛刺数刀，致其死亡。[1]
审判[编辑]
2009年5月6日，龚义强被三门峡市中级人民法院一审以故意杀人罪判处有期徒刑15年，其父母赔偿被害人家属各项经济损失共计37231.6元。[1]
