“小粉綠”一詞在2020年就已經出現，後為媒體採用，用法與小粉紅類似。2021年，美國演員赵喜娜為“台湾是国家”的言論道歉，引發台灣網友不滿。隨後，加拿大主持人利力（Brian Lilley）在推特贴出一张称中国大陸为西台湾的圖，獲得自由时报与三立新闻网轉載，而多維新聞網報導時，有提到「小粉綠」一詞[2]。台北市議員王世堅，因批評防疫指揮官陳時中，被酸「嫉妒陳時中」，直呼有壓力，在新頭殼的新聞標題也有提到「小粉綠」一詞[3]。
東京奧運會出征事件[编辑]
2020年東京奧運會賽事，烏克蘭裔模特瑞莎，特地製作臉書大頭貼，喊「中華隊加油」，不料被痛罵「是台灣隊誰跟你中華」、「台灣隊加油，中華隊就免了」。為避免爭議，瑞莎改為「台灣加油」。不少網友也力挺：「這些小粉綠有本事就把護照跟身分證都剪掉」、「綠粉出征，寸草不生」。[4]奪得羽球男雙冠軍的王齊麟、李洋，因在臉書發佈與台北市長柯文哲視訊照片，及悠遊卡事件，遭留言狂酸。對此，王齊麟無奈表示，自己只是單純的運動員，無論是總統、市長的祝福和接見，他們都心存感激。[5]
