亚太地区[编辑]
个人必须取得当年IOL的参赛资格，方可参加同一年的APLO。[4]
非亚太地区[编辑]
非亚太地区的国家可以作为嘉宾国参加APLO，但是参赛者无法取得奖项，只能获得参与证书。非亚太地区国家的比赛必须在APLO期间或结束后方可开始，并且必须在APLO结束后的两周内结束。[4]
比赛[编辑]
APLO自2019年开始，在每年的3月至5月间举行，参赛者可在本国的官方考点答题。[2]比赛持续5小时。与IOL不同的是，APLO不进行团体赛。[4]
