2020年12月，刘某某在家中因琐事把母亲杀害，并把尸体装在编织袋里抛弃到了自家的仓库。刘某某作案后，谎称母亲离家出走。2021年3月，刘某某的爷爷在整理仓库时发展刘母的尸体，于是报警。3月13日凌晨，警方将刘某某抓获。[2]经过连夜突审和警察的耐心教育劝导，刘某某交代了犯罪事实。2021年3月17日，刘某某被依法刑事拘留。[3]
