昙石山遗址位于中国福建省福州市闽侯县甘蔗镇昙石村，地处闽江下游北岸，是新石器时代中晚期到青铜时代的古文化遗址，2001年被列为第五批全国重点文物保护单位。

遗址总面积约3万余平方米，1954～1996年对其进行了8次发掘，揭露面积约1700平方米，其文化堆积层可分为两层，下层为新石器时代中晚期，是遗址的主要堆积层，上层为青铜时代，相当于商周时期。发掘清理出房基1处、墓葬76座、陶窑11座、祭祀坑2个、壕沟2条，出土人骨架三十余具，陶器、玉器、石器、骨器、贝壳等一千二百余件。考古发掘显示昙石山遗址是一处典型的海洋性贝丘遗址。

昙石山遗址具有鲜明的地方特征，内涵丰富，现已将曇石山下層所代表的文化命名为“昙石山文化”，其特征与台湾高雄凤鼻头遗址所代表的凤鼻头文化有相似之处。[1]劉益昌、張崇根認為，兩者關係並非是「並非直接的移民或傳承關係」[2] 曇石山遺址博物館長董平認為，昙石山遗址是蘇秉琦的中華文明多元起源學說的證明，並認為曇石山文化居民是闽族發源地，以及南島語族起源之一。[3]
