湛江师范学院法政学院是湛江师范学院的下属学院，由原“政法系”、“历史系”和“社会科学理论教学部”合并而成，创立于2004年2月，现任院长为韩明德教授。创立时是湛江师范学院唯一成院建制的法学院，现在已发展成为湛江师范学院规模最大、人数最多的下属学院。学院现有四个系，开设“法学”、“思想政治教育（师范类）”、“思想政治教育（经济中介服务与管理方向）”、“人力资源管理”、“社会工作”、“公共事业管理”、“历史学”等六个本科专业，并计划在2015年之前增设“社会学系”并增设“行政管理”、“国际政治”、“犯罪心理学”等三个专业。[1]
